Hawaiian Airlines Amenities/Services for Delayed Passengers

Hawaiian Airlines assume for following expensed for its passengers. Hawaiian airlines advise all passengers about flight amenities when a delay is more than 4 hours.

Hotel Room: Carrier will furnish hotel accommodations selected by Hawaiian if the delay is expected to exceed four hours during the period of 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Hotel accommodations are not to exceed 24 hours and are not to be in excess of the charge for one night’s lodging.

No hotel accommodations will be provided to a passenger whose permanent domicile is in the area where the delay occurs.

Meals: A passenger who would otherwise have received complimentary meal service on a flight which has been delayed or canceled, will be furnished complimentary meal service at appropriate hours for a period not to exceed 24 hours from the time of flight interruption or until the passenger resumes his trip, whichever occurs earlier.

Ground Transportation: Free ground transportation from the airport to the downtown area or to and from local hotel, whichever is applicable.

Communications: One long distance telephone call or one 15-word straight telegram will be allowed within the united states. One message will be allowed to or from a point outside the united states via the carrier’s internal communications system in order to request that the carrier involved in transporting the passenger to his final destination, advise a concerned party of delay.

Hawaiian Airlines allows its HawaiianMiles members to earn flight credit based on purchased origination and destination cities for multi-city neighbour Island flights.

If someone purchases a flight from point “A” to point “c”, this will count as only one segment. The member will get only the miles between point “A” to Point “C” despite the actual travel experience being point “A” to Point “B”; point “B” to point “C”.

However, if the member purchases flight from point “A” to point “B” and a separate flight for point “B” to point “C”, then the member will earn miles as two separate segments rather than just one.

Who is eligible for the Hawaiian Airlines Bid Up service?

To get eligible for the Hawaiian Airlines Bid Up service you must be flying on at least one Hawaiian Airlines operated flight between Hawaii and North America, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, American Samoa, or Tahiti, holding a confirmed ticket.
